How many people care any more? I certainly don't – I used to, but even if the thing ever does come on the air I doubt I'll listen.

 I agree with this - New clients are not aware that the advertising rates are bumped up as they have not been there before....so an extra fiver shouldn't be a problem ....Secondly, there are too...

You still have to reduce costs by £2 per month or go off air, so what's the solution? If you are not going to provide a proper service , go off air.

Find other ways of deriving income – add a fiver to the advertising rates, premium rates on-air how-low auctions (!) ... I am sure there must be other ways, but I am not in the business ;-) —

Sorry John, perhaps that was a bit harsh mate.

Radio 1 is doing a pretty good job. It bears absolutely no relation to the radio one of the 60s and 70s. Chris England is perfectly correct in his analysis of the station.

I must admit , i find it a little strange to hear Christopher - a radio anorak and all the background that goes before it that makes a person such , saying their favorite radio station is BBC Radio...
