Ofcom has begun proceedings to revoke the licence of a local radio station on Merseyside - believed to be the first time it has taken such an action.

In an unprecedented move, Ofcom has instigated proceedings to revoke the licence of local radio station, KCR FM based in the Knowsley area of Merseyside.

As a special tribute to it's founder Rick Dane who died on November 16th 2002, Radio Jackie North, Merseysides rock radio station from the 70's & 80's will be on the air again...

Merseyland Alternative Radio will be broadcasting all over Bank Holiday weekend on 105 FM in the Merseyside area. Hopefully commencing late on Thursday evening.

Merseyland Alternative Radio has been on the air since Thursday night in the Merseyside area on 105 FM. And will hopefully be on the air until the early hours of Tuesday morning.
