Brilliant news. The brand new radioship set to anchor off the Isle of Man is on its way, and should be on the air with regular programmes by the end of the year.

Those who think that offshore commercial broadcasting started in the 1960’s are wrong.

I was thinking about all the discussions going around about the possibility and likelihood of someone being able to successfully launch a new offshore radio station and being able to do this...

To be fair, when you probe into anybody related to the running of or the paying for the offshore radio era, roses are not what you find.

We have published a number of documents from the UK Public Record Office in Offshore Echo's over the past few years, including a number about the jamming of RNI.

Offshore Echos magazine has reprinted many of the Government papers relating to offshore radio of the sixties and seventies, including the RNI jamming episode.

 I seem to recollect reading somewhere that a number of articles on RNI had been re-sectioned under the 50 Year rule, so If that were true, we'll have to wait a few more years yet!
