Is it possible to do this? Take a one hour long MP3 and split it in n portions (say 20) such that the 1 hour sound track will play continuously without pause or fading? |

I still think that the cost of downloaded albums is too high compared to the CD – in some cases the CD is cheaper ! Five pounds is the most i would pay for an album download. |

I reinstalled and this time allowing the system to install the supplementary software. It works jolly well and doesn't insert a fade in. This is now looking very good. |

Steve. That is really good of you. I will re-install this evening. Rather unhelpfully for me, Cool Splitter (which I have been playing with) introduces a fade between split files. |

Thank you, Steve. Effectively, I just want markers to be added, but I don't want the overhead of having to insert the markers manually. I just want a time division. I'll have a look into this. |

Not having an attack here John, just a conversation, but I don't 'get' why you want CDs. To me it would be equally odd to download tracks and then record them onto a cassette. |

at www.nme.com there are lots of free downloads of new music. They give away a free mp3 every day. It is certainly legal, NME (New Musical Express) is a popular magazine. |

It was only a couple of years back that the SK PRS allowed the playing of MP3 in public places - before that I had to cart cases of CDs around. Now you can play of digital media. |

You need a program called diskdigger which can recover deleted files. Best part is, its free. Then you may wish to transfer them to CD? Colin-JB
