I must admit when Caroline was at sea, I did listen because it was Caroline, at times just because she was a pirate and a free station. Off course when Laser was on i flicked between the two.

Neils's board is being populated by mostly pro Malcolm Smith fans and his "pretendy" version of a once great station. I haven't been on Garry's board lately, but it seems that's going the same way.

In my humble opinion Big L is trying to be different, and to a certain extent it's succeeding.

To be honest chris, when i wrote that bit about the 60s and 70s music being diverse, i was thinking todays music is too.

Whilst a single station these days couldn't please everyone, in the 60s and 70s, music was so diverse. I take all your points, but radio was still developing in the mid 60s to probably 1985.

Regarding terrys solicitor friends discussion, the container holding the host nations water would be a "vessel", as it floats and would have to be towed to its destination off the British coast.

I totally disagree, the vast majority of music listeners young or geriatric listen to it on their radios or hi fi equipment.
