 Couldn't agree with you more. When I listen to Smooth Radio here in the North West, all the presenters sound the same, with the exception of Andy Peebles and Richard Searling.

 I agree it's a fine line. I don't know how many listeners you get to your station, but I think we need to make sure the results are valid statistically.

I suppose the answer is that besuited middle-aged men look at how "yoof" listen to music and try to make their radio stations sound a bit more like that – either by reducing ads or getting rid of...

 I think there can be a number of factors at play in the rewriting and erroneous history of radio, the difficulty is working out what's happening and why?

I fail to understand the point of this trite question, Does it matter to the listener, as long as the output is what they want to hear.
