If you broadcast on the internet , you can do so in peace,legally, and nobody will come knocking on you door, but you are in competition with thousands of other internet stations so will be lucky...

I propose the TX Factor. Here we have a competition in which we compare todays commercial broadcasters. We can have local, regional and national heats.

So more cumminty stations = less smaller commercial ones i.e. less commercial competition and further restricting ownership of commercial stations.

Ok, firstly let me say there are quite strict terms and conditions to this, which I will let anybody who seriously wishes to enter the competition have and include the entrant's voluntary...

Well, potentially, the competition isn't just any other broadcaster, it's any other entertainment source. You have to find ways of grabbing the audience so that they really WANT to tune in.

So Caroline had 20million listeners in the 60s nearly 50 years ago (ish) so it has 200 odd now? So how many radio stations as in competition terms did it have to compete with?

Good luck to Graham Norton with this but sadly i am with Terry Wogan on this one.The Eurovision song contest is so obviously purely political these days.
