Why are there news programmes on BBC1? I don't understand why there is a news sequence on BBC1 television. They have a news sequence starting at 1pm then 6pm and another one starting at 10pm, but why?

Hi Geoff, As a freesat viewer myself, more HD channels would be very nice but as far as I know Channel 4 HD is still locked into sky encryption.

Yes, but it's the Welsh "Channel 4". The English Channel 4 also has commercials. A fine organisation it is too.
