Not having an attack here John, just a conversation, but I don't 'get' why you want CDs. To me it would be equally odd to download tracks and then record them onto a cassette. |

I still think that the cost of downloaded albums is too high compared to the CD – in some cases the CD is cheaper ! Five pounds is the most i would pay for an album download. |

Edited bits from there release. The iDA-X001 has one built-in audio source, an AM/FM tuner, and no CD/DVD slot. Instead, it has a dedicated USB input to directly connect an iPod. |

Dunno about that. The CD is a bit of a big bulky thing physically really, and the non-re-writeable ones are already pointless in computer terms compared to a little cheap compact usb stick thingie. |

Not sure I'd entirely agree with you. In the last 3 or 4 years I've probably spent around £3000 on CDs alone plus a smaller amount for vinyl where a CD hasn't been available. |

I bought half a dozen CDs from a dealer in Belgium about 6 months ago. I've probably bought 3 or 4 hundred CDs over the last 3 or 4 years. While mp3s rule, a lot of the CDs I buy are pretty rare. |
