Best decade for radio and why:
  1. 1970-1974 for offshore stations Radio Caroline, Radio Northsea International,Radio Atlantis and landbased pirate activity with regulars Radio Jackie, Radio Kaleidoscope, Radio Gemini, World Music Radio, Radio Albatros.
  2. 1969-1971 was a great period for films, music and popular culture.
  3. 1977-1982 was the classic disco era with producers such as Giorgio Moroder, Cerrone, Patrick Cowley, Nile Rogers and Bernard Edwards creating some fantastic music.
  4. And of course there's now - we're in the personal communications and technological age -
  5. Radio is a lot more than AM, FM and Shortwave - there's Satellite, Cable, Internet and mobile telephony.
