Tony Allan Funeral Arrangements

Charlie -Tony's brother – has asked that details of Tony's funeral be circulated. Please feel free to copy this message and respectfully distribute it where appropriate.

The funeral service will take place on Monday 19th July at 10.30

at

Westminster Cathedral, Victoria Street, SW1.

Can people arrive 10 o'clock onwards. This will give people the opportunity to say hello and introduce themselves to each other.

The cremation will take place directly after the service at the Mortlake Crematorium, Kew Meadow Path, Richmond. The nearest overland train stations are Mortlake Station and North Sheen Station. Both come out of Waterloo Station. There is also Kew Station which is on the District tube line from Victoria. Everyone is welcome to come to both services. The cremation will be a relatively short service.

Tony was not keen on the idea of having flowers but the family would like all those who wish to send flowers to do so. It can give the opportunity for those people who are unable to attend to send a floral tribute to express their thoughts and affection for Tony.

Flowers should arrive at the Undertakers no later than 9.30 on Monday morning. NB. It may be worth putting Tony's real name Anthony Smith on the flowers to avoid confusion should they not know him by his professional name (although they probably will).

The Undertakers are:

Chelsea Funeral Directors, 91 Rochester Row, SW1

Telephone 020–7834–3281

There is a florist close to the Undertakers. It's Patricia's Florists, 26 Denbigh Street, SW1. Telephone 020–7834 0772.

There will hopefully be a collection for either Marie Curie or Cancer Research.

Some have also suggested that people may feel drawn to making a donation to the actual hospice that looked after Tony. It can be found here:
