567 barely audible in my part of Merseyside.

Why the sudden move to a very low frequency channel for MAR ?
If you get good reports , then all well and good , but it's unlikely the sort of small back garden type antenna you must be using would give good results at such a low frequency. Good luch with the experiments though and be sure to let us know how far it gets :-)

We are trying to find an optimum frequency that a lot people can hear us.

Today we had a reception report from Southern Ireland. This was from a listener who last heard our AM we where on 1386, which is a couple years ago. Also a regular listener in Blackpool said 567 is better than 1584 by him. It is blasting out in the centre of Liverpool today on my little Eaton with no blank places

We will be trying different frequencies over the next few weeks I think.

Thanks for the comments Jackie. Sounds like it has been successfull then. In your area , i'm not sure you will find a better channel at the bottom end of medium wave than 567 KHZ as that should be virtually completely clear , even at night time. There is little chance of a reception report from where i am in the south east as we have Spectrum radio from London on 558 KHz which splashes over onto 567. Their signal drops off quite rapidly only a county or so north and east of London though ,so you might get a report from somewhere like Norfolk or Cambridgeshire at night. Well done with keeping the spirit of pirate radio alive in trying something new :-)

Thanks Simon

As soon as I know where we are moving to I'll let everyone know.

We are really pleased with the reports back, with only one local person not being able to get us but I think he lives in a black hole like I do ;)
