The LA Prime Minister

Chamberlain features today in the BBC news pages.

Surely, his policies of appeasement must have been very attractive to the British public prior to the WWII.Getting aboard the peace train (or plane) is so much more attractive than going to war.

Hence the DA Churchill was very much the villain and the LA Chamberlain very much the hero.

However, it remains fundamental that tyrants need to be dealt with as Churchill demonstrated.

The idea that if we all have a little more love for each other then the world would be a perfect place has been "sold" by the various religions for thousands of year.

Some how DA for me is far more compelling. Tyrants generally need to be nipped in the bud.

The DA Anorak.

Paying tribute to him in the House of Commons, Churchill said Chamberlain had acted "with perfect sincerity...to save the world".

A little to simplistic me thinks,

Chamberlain was the Prime Minister who declared war on Germany and I believe Churchill was the one who said it was more preferable to jaw jaw than war war,
