You will be able to hear the results soon on the Radio Academy website - the interview with Trevor Dann was recorded and will appear shortly.

what? Am I reading the wrong thread? Is this the poll I started? I don't remember mentioning Trevor Dann

You didn't mention him - I did!

Keith was in Cambridge for an interview on Wednesday night.
It was a meeting organised by the Radio Academy, and Keith was interviewed by Trevor Dann, who is the Director
of the RA.
The interview was recorded and will be made available on their site, for everyone to hear in the near future.

Secondly, I rather disagree with the idea of this so-called Poll.
This is an affront to a person whom I consider to be a personal friend, a seasoned and professional
broadcaster, as well as being a decent and honest man.
I trust that people will see sense and not be tempted to get involved with this silliness.

I'm not taking the mick out of Keith, I was just wondering what people think he should do if he lost his BBC job. he said on air once that it was up to the BBC whether or not he retired – I think that if he is fired from the BBC, he should go on another station. I think his programmes are very good. It isn't an affront, just asking what people think about him.

So your saying that comments such as "Beg the Beeb for another job", "Bribe Auntie", and "Jump in a hole" are not taking then mick then?

You have a great deal to learn young man, and you need a large dose of humility. You clearly have no idea of the calibre of people you are dissing.

No, it's not. I was only asking whether people think he should stay at the BBC, or if they don't like him as a broadcaster and a person. Maybe I could have worded them better.

You have a great deal to learn young man, and you need a large dose of humility. You clearly have no idea of the calibre of people you are dissing.

Other people on this forum take the mick out of Keith seriously, I wasn't even thinking of taking the mick when I made this poll. I've never seen you complain to them. I'm sorry to anyone who I offended by saying these things, and let's end this here.

What part of it suggests I have no idea?

If you think you are going to draw me into a slanging match - you are very much mistaken.
To answer a previous remark - I have not seen anyone on here recently, make derogatory comments against Mr Skues,
however, I would adopt the same stance and reply as robustly as I have here, as he is a friend of mine and I admire
his professionalism and longevity in the business.
What I find objectionable is someone who clearly has no personal knowledge of the man making fun at his expense.
As you say this will be an end to it - quit whilst you think you are ahead... but be very careful when locking horns with people who have brains
for in a battle of wits - I fear you will enter the fray unarmed!

Quit while I am ahead? I am not ahead, not even in a slanging match at all. Battle of wits and brains? what has being clever got to do with it?
