Freeplay DAB radio

An amusing reminder of how (non) energy efficient DAB radios are. Here is the new wind up Freeplay DAB radio http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ITAG=SPEC&ModuleNo=223802&doy=14m5#spec

According to Maplin this is what you get for a 60 second wind:
 FM 1 hour (normal volume)
 DAB 3–5 minutes (normal volume)

So to listen to DAB you would have to wind almost continuously for 15 minutes every hour.
Phew, that would keep you fit!
