Quoting a previous Charlie Davy contribution:-

– How's about that Radio 1 are doing bugger-all research, BUT – Because
there are in fact some clever/mature (ahem, older) people running the
show, they are getting it right… ?

Ah but, the research is showing da yoofier of da yoof don't like it which is why they are turning to pirate radio to deal with their discrete interests, or turning away from radio altogether.

It's very nice that you care about a network that isn't really aimed at
your age-group, Chris

Ah, but it is aimed at me. I'm 19, man.

– How's about giving BBC Local Radio a call and
complaining about car-parking spaces, dog-poo and the noisy kids at No'7

You stalking me? I actually did something like this very recently to a BBC local station oooop North when I was staying in a hotel waiting to get to the Isle of Man. We had a very long conversation about the kids of today and how terrible their clothing and music is, how I firmly believed it was time we brought back public stocks, and how it was time we deported persistently annoying people to Australia. The callers rang in in their droves (as much as a BBC local station can attract 'droves') to agree with me, all sounding like they were about to burst a blood vessel in agreement. Brilliant.

* Christopher England just said that *
