As we discussed last year when Neil first talked about putting a new offshore station on air , it would not be difficult these days to set up a simulcast web stream of a radio ships output for people to listen to at home and indeed around the world. Having the AM outlet would enable people to listen in their cars and on portable radios across a large area though. The idea that it would be most likely to succeed if it was a speech based station , or mainly so , i agree with. I still think the radio ship would be boarded and closed though, but would be great to test it out – 981 or 576 maybe , not sure about 531khz though. if the station had a web stream , FM relays could be set up easily in populated areas for maximum reach – naughty but nice !
