So what bit of tech do you always take out with you?
Put it another way, what bit of tech do you feel naked if you've gone out without it?
As an example, my N97 mobile phone. If I accidentally move more than 10 metres from it, let alone leave home without it, I break out in a sweat. I'm happy to have it with me switched off, like in a cinema, or some place where it would seem rude if it went off, or even where it would cause interference, but I must still have it with me. On me. Pressing against me so I know it's there.
Secondly, it's my watch. I have a cheapish watch that syncs with the time signal in 5 million countries around the world, so wherever I am I am never more than 24 hours from another automated 2:00am sync to make sure my watch is spot on accurate. Why I feel I need the accuracy I'm not sure, but should I accidentally go out without putting the watch on I feel obsessed and keep asking what the time is.
Thirdly, it's my SatNav. I religiously don't leave it in glove compartments, but bring it indoors. Popping out to make a quick journey I can forget it (and not even slightly need it 'cos I know the way having done it a million times), but feel naked without it.
Ok, that's me and my tech based OCDs exposed. Anybody similarly inflicted?
