Glad you went for the Apple iPhone Eric – I have yet to get one.

Looking at all the reports I'd wait till June and get an upgraded model if they don't try to get more money out of folks, and if they do I might be tempted to blurt out some good web sites so people don't get turned over.

Point re 'non standard' ... Microsoft stuff is also highly non standard

compared to open software, unless you are talking non-standard wrt to
Microsoft, in which case I put it to you that anything that's not MS
compatible is non-standard. So MS has become the standard ?

I shudder and am very very afraid.!

Actually I kind of confused the issues there.
So what is a standard phone – well the first thing is bluetooth, sure Apple could claim that not being able to use a bluetooth device with the iphone is a road safety thing, but I would say they're stupid. People aren't about to change everything for a phone. I also tried the phone in a bluetoothed radio head and nothing. I mean how non-standard can you be
:-)

As to MS, this 'll make ya laugh.
When you try to sync the phone it's a real mare for me. I don't use Outlook and yet the iPhone tries to sync with nowt but outlook and even starts off the install exe ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. So I turned off that bit of the phone trying to sync with a WINDOWS product which I refuse to use.

Hmmmm a non-standard, establishment phone then LOL
