The "government" doesn't need to govern anymore because that's the job of the EU. It's a free-for-all for forty states. "Border control" is another illusion created by New Labour. Compared with EU and non-EU immigration, the numbers of asylum seekers pale into insignificance.

There's going to be real trouble when employment reduces and those who were earning queue for handouts to which they will be entitled.
