I think everyone has bottled it and stayed tuned to Britain's got talent or coro because it makes them feel safe. They are scared the Nanny State is listening to their opinions and a black van will come round and whisk them off dare they speak out. Other than that they are all probably entirely happy with the situation and couldn't give a toss as long as they can still put petrol in the Golf, Mondeo, Focus or BM and watch the wallpaper dreamed up by good old 'Big Pants' Simon Cowell & Co. (I still think Christopher has a hand in this splendid TV nonsense they want us to watch. I bet his in Simon's Think Tank room as I type)
