As it goes, how much the player cost for a C120 all those years back,
about £20?

No Eric  those Philips portables (which I saw at a car boot the other week for a fiver)  were quite expensive about £45 if I remember.  you could get cheaper ones but the RF from the TX used to feed back whereas the Philips was a Shielded construction and perfect for Field operations of a landbased Pirate.  lol
