Well, yesterday only a very weak 1188Khz signal. I believe that was Kristal. Nothing whatsoever of 846 or 1446.

I do wonder if the pirates of old put out a better signal or is it that the ambient noise floor has increased? I do believe it's the latter although Jackie ran 2 x 807's which is a whole deal better than the 20w or so that the current crowd are running.

That, and the fact that valves + pi-network can load into anthing while solid state rigs normally require a 50 ohm load, or at least the professional S/S rig's do.

Oscar, Dave or whoever. Are all the above stations in 'roughly the same area of SE England? Nothing seems to be emminating out of north of the Thames. Shame.
