There was no desire by the authorities to close Caroline at any time!!

Essex FM, INVICTA, CAPITAL RADIO GROUP, infact almost all the stations in the south and east had continued to put pressure on the authorities to silence Caroline. Maybe the UK authorities saw the illegal raid by the Dutch as an ideal time to sit and watch.  As for the UK authorities not acting its possible their pockets were FULL.

What was it that Radio Monique said or did.  Pirate radio in Dutch had been happening since early Veronica days.  What was it that made them act OFF THE BRITISH COAST  30 years after they first had dutch pirate Radio?
