Following the acquisition of an FM network in Holland, Arrow will
probably cease transmissions on 675 kHz in August. Arrow is hoping to
gain access to the FM network by early July and then a period a
simulcasting to advise 675 AM listeners to retune to FM.
Very sad news – I've listened to Arrow for years "in de auto op 675 AM". But good for them to get FM across Holland after such a long time.
But looking to the future, could 675 be the saviour for Big L? Thumping signal over the East of England day and night – even at 50kW would be infinitely better than 1395. Very tempting I'm sure. Or maybe 10 Gold returns to 675? Or those ousted from 10 Gold – www.radio1008.nl hire 675 and see if they can make it pay? Or how about this – Peter Moore puts Caroline on 675?
Exciting times ahead...
