I read about this earlier today.

 Try Gooling CQ100

It seems that radio amateurs are now able to achieve perfect results without RF:

- no masts to annoy the neighbours

- no radio frequency interference to annoy the neighbours

- no expensive hardware

- no soldering irons

You can have QSOs with simulated fading, interference, and noise.

Apparently, you can also opt to do it in morse code.

You just tune to the calling frequency using your soft receiver, call CQ and your off.

Apparently, it getting very popular and the virtual band space is starting to fill up.

You just have to pretend that you are doing it for real.

But didn't anoraks do pretend radio first?
