A posted message from the mods talks of "legal reasons" but surely offending postings can be deleted and contributors warned or penalised without causing such wholesale destruction to people's work.

Don't start me off, I've already had a go at them about this over on DS. They've so far refused to respond to the now deleted thread or to several PMs.
