It's almost March 2007 and still no word from China, oops, I mean IOMIB – nothing being emmitted on longwave 279.

So why doesn't IOMIB lease airtime – just like Big L does from the Netherlands.

Except I was thinking of the RTL outlet on 7295 KHz DRM.

Of course the main benefit for IOMIB is that they could ditch this whole platform/ship biz that's been a thorn in it's side for years. Leasing airtime over a third party transmission provider makes a lot of sense – This way IOMIB could run their business with an office and studio and not have all the Platform/Ship infrastructure to maintain and the running costs associated with it all.

Of course that would change the whole UK/Europe Over Longwave ethos that has done the circuit for the past few years – Instead it would be a DRM angle with Europe wide coverage.

Good Cop, Bad Cop – what do you reckon ???
