Hi Eric /AN'ers,

Well the first thing that stands out is that it's the talkies that have hit the two top positions – 3AW and ABC 774 (formally known as 3LO)

After the talkies it's the FM music set that get the next top spots (positions 3,4,5,6) followed by AM easy listening music station Magic arriving in on 7th position.

ABC Tripple J is position 8 and Vega FM is struggling at position 9.

Vega FM is a real dead horse for DMG and (virtually) no one listens to it at all. Some have said that it's a total waste of an FM license and that they've well and truely done their money on this little baby.

Well I guess only time will tell on that front.

The leaderboard for Melbourne's ears goes: 3AW, ABC 774, Fox FM, Nova, Gold FM (down 1.1 to 8.6), Triple M (down 1.4 to 6.7), Mix FM (down 1.1 to 6.0), Magic (up 0.3 to 4.4) Triple J (up 0.9 to 3.3) and Nova's adult-focused sister station Vega (up 0.3 to 3.3).
