I am new on here so I dont even know whether this post will work! There is nothing sinister about the 279 thread disappearing on DS. Mr R Kerr made claims about Rodney Collins' current work that were inaccurate and a couple of us asked him to change the post. He didn't so three of us complained to DS as Mr Kerr's remarks were damaging. I think we all asked that he be warned or banned as a user. Presumably DS decided to close the thread - something that none of us three certainly requested. And that IS the truth!
