As far as i am aware the real owner hasn't responded on this subject but Peter Moore has on the Caroline Mailing list and i quote, Hi all,

cannot aford to buy the publicity so they need a good ' story '.

Now, the great thing is that they do not have to do this, nor
actually have any serious intention of doing it, they just concoct a press release and sit back.

Note that they did not research what is happening with Ross Revenge
or Caroline at all, before setting this all off and they made no contact with us whatsoever. But, they got the publicity they wanted
and I had to mail and speak to various journalists.

You can be sure that as their launch date approaches more stuff will come out like ' Leith FM presenter ate my hamster ' or ' Black
Diamond boss spies Edinburgh Corporation bus on the moon '.

However, Laser 558 rather sarcastically says that at least these
people want to use Ross Revenge as a broadcast base ( they do not of course and they never did ).

So the old chestnut comes up again.

It is really quite simple. As the marine commercial activity on both the Thames and the Medway winds down, to be replaced by ' Riverside Developments', it becomes ever more difficult to find a place to put
a ship. Thet may seem surprising, but it is true.

If we were to use the ship, we would need a number of things to be
in place such as :

Good Security.
Parking.
24hr access.
Shore power.
Telephone and Internet connections.
A feed from the ship to our satellite uplink.

In the event that we could find all those things or create them in
one place, then by all means use the boat, but what happens for instance when the repair guys are making so much noise with needle
guns and air chisels that you cannot hear yourself think. What
happens when the power needs to go off to cut out some old cables.

Have you ever seen a bus being repaired while it is being driven
down the road ? It often helps to think before committing words to paper.
