Quoting a previous Alan Milewczyk contribution:-

Shucks. You old folk. You just hate anything new!

Just because it's new doesn't mean it's automatically better.

Nor automatically worse. Yet, old people do fear change, upgrades, and new ideas. I remember old people desperately switching XP to look and feel like older versions of Windows, because it made them feel better. And loads are still stuck using double clicks instead of single clicks. What's that madness about?

What worries me is what happens if these really really old people are now the ones making decisions about what IT to purchase to sell on or to use in a company. Where once, many many years ago, they'd have been chasing the next best thing, desperate to get it on board for their customers, they now hate it even before it's been invented and do anything they can to avoid it!

Does this mean that everything will soon crash to a standstill?
