Just 3 days to go until the launch of Crusin 531 then – on line and on AM 531 khz – or not ? When we wake up on July 1st there will be an excellent signal on 531 AM across most of Europe and a high quality webstream to listen to when at home ( as there already is on test) It's all gone very quiet – not even any new rumours about it. Nobody has spotted any ships off the coast with large antennas installed yet. No doubt it will be denied that it was ever going to be on AM as well even though it has 531 in the name. I have not seen any posts on any forums claiming to be from Neil either about anything – perhaps he is far to busy setting up transmission equipment in the hold of a ship somewhere discretely ? Does anybody on here think this project will really happen – it would be great if it did but my better judgement says a very loud no – those days are gone !

OOOH! How exciting!!!!

The original link offered is till playing something – yes it's C531 with an ident from someone sounding like a Laser558 jock.
With respect to Neil, boredom is setting in after 4 mins. Now playing some country/rock track. The only country track I can stand is Lily Allen.
WOW the sound of Philly, now that is a classic track!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK Neil has me holding on for track four – decision time coming up. These jingles are very 558 influenced :-)
Hmmmmm – Modern Girl, yep OK cos it's a Sunday – next please.
Sister Sledge, The Who and Cat stevens – tracks I liked but not, sorry, commercially viable.
If you read this Neil, I'd suggest tightening up the track gaps. Could drive buses through the gaps between tracks and jingles. It sounds more like a basic MP3 player at the mo, not a radio stream.
Now Andrew Gold :-)
Regards
Eric

Boredom set in the other evening whilst someone was doing the shopping. As the FM band was all playing I went onto AM – gawd it was as dead as a dodo. That was around 9.30pmCET so should have been summat.

Yes , i thought that too Eric. There is far too much dead air between tracks and the jingles could easily be from Laser 558 – just reworked. They do sound a bit dated and cheesy. That over exaggerated american voise is pretty annoying ! I could forgive all these points if i knew he could pull off having it broadcast from a ship on 531 but knowing its just not feasable just makes it annoying and boring. Would love to be proved wrong though !

Did the awe struck crowds see what they wanted to see? Did a "double"
fool them?
It's a shame this has now come out 'cos it'll degrade the memory of Mr Jackson. The guy you saw was his regular double who appeared on stage doing some of the routines instead of the real fella during the last tour. That's how they managed to keep the whole stage presentation so hyper.
There are many mysteries surrounding Michael Jackson that have still to be answered. Like, for example, how he, a black fella, managed to father a blonde very fair skinned blue eyed little girl.
The future will hold many interesting revelations about Michael Jackson once the public shock and hurt about his death has settled.

It'll be interesting see how witty or maybe how cruel the despatches will be from the baying mass of armchair haters hiding behind various oh-so-humorous names ready to attack him with their sharpened keyboards from 0600 on Wednesday. Do you think they'll go to bed early on Tuesday night with their alarms set for 0530 so they can fight each other to be the first to post their venom?

I said a while ago it sounded like a Spotify stream (including the random adverts every x songs)

You obviousy don't understand genetics. It takes two to tango, you know!
What's the chances that a very fair skinned Caucasian blue eyed blonde haired girl would come out of a liaison between a black Negroid fella and a fair skinned bleach blonde Caucasian lady?

So you don't think it will happen then?

Now I must admit I do not agree with all the personal slanging matches, and personal abuse that you see on some boards. Especially from people that are too cowardly to put their own names on it.
But....... It must be said that Neil has set himself up for a big fall. Slagging Caroline off being just an internet station, promising offshore radio, then coming up with......erm an internet station, isn't really a clever move, in my opinion.

I never have thought or said it would, to be honest. However, like most true anoraks I'd love to be proved wrong of course.

Sadly, I do agree. But, maybe he'll get there in the future.

Just to add to Jackie's comments, any reception reports would be gratefully received this weekend, since we're testing our new transmitter/aerial arrangement and would really like to know how it's performing. We're on 217 metres mediumwave, 1386 khz AM, thanks very much!
Also for any lovers of AM pirate radio, there is also Central Radio on 215 metres mediumwave, which is 1395 khz AM, how are they getting out as well please.
Thanks,
MAR krew

Hmmm. Not clever planning having MAR on 1386 and Central on 1395 in roughly the same area.
MAR coming in loud and clear but nothing on 1395.

First of all, could anone record the start up please?
Does anyone know of a website for the station? Is it illegal? Where is it based? Is it in international or teritorial waters? Will it broadcast 24/7 or just one day a week? How long will it last?
