Re: Lincoln County – Love Affairwhat is this song your going on aboute? is it good?
It was played during RNI's test transmission. I don't think that it became a hit but it has always been a song that I liked.

PS I'll get more than saliva when the Chrysler announcement about
Net-cars becomes a reality :-)
What do you prefer to sit in front of in a pub, a glowing inglenook fireplace or a flat panel radiator? There's nothing wrong with either.
A glowing valve must surely be the anorak equivalent of the inglenook albeit that it's a ridiculous solution to providing radio in a car.
I have a magazine at home that picture a radio router for use with 3 G dongles.
That makes it very plausible now to listen to a "Reciva" radio in the car.
The wiring is untidy but all of the technology is present and correct.

YOWZER YOWZER – I have a Clarkson comment coming on, or should that be up.
You'd need to be a Clarkson anorak to follow the later comment, which I am proud to be.

Did any station close down having made a net profit after disposal of assets?

My (much older) brother had a valve car radio in his c1959 Morris
Minor. In a later car, an old white Merc I seem to remember he had
a record player builtin to the radio which allowed 7 inch singles
to be play. Kind of the equiv of a CD player today and way ahead of
its
time, never ever saw another of those.
