I've just been to the Redsands website

and what a fascinating project and what a futuristic looking cluster of buildings – sort of war of the worlds look about it.
For me the listening will have to be online due to my distance from the site
– but I will definitely listen as this is a very unique project, dare I say very eccentric!!

Yes it is a very interesting project which i have been following for quite a while now,
Last night during the test transmissions Bob-Le Roi was chatting on air with Peter Chicago whom is lending a hand with the TX etc,
They have recently installed a new aerial mast and there is more about it here,

Bob is on the air at the moment with the breakfast show and it is surprising how good it is, He does have a good radio voice.

That's right Richard, I'm in my lounge room here in Melbourne it's 4.38 pm and I am listening to their breakfast show on my iMac. Isn't it wonderful :)

Sure is David sounding very professional, I can hear the transmission here on 1278 but as i am about 70 miles or so from the fort it is definitely Anorak quality and i am also listening on line and the stream is very good.

I can understand very well the OFCOM DF boys avoiding or refusing to get involved with underground ethic projects.
This is not the era where a little weekend "foxhunting" earned a bit of overtime helping to pay the mortgage. It's now a matter of life and death better suited to the use of armed police or the armed forces.
We now have no got RF areas where there is no desire to confront ethnic communities despite the inconvenience of having unstable and over-deviating transmitters polluting the 87 to 108 MHz confines.
Out of band interference and interference with emergency services has always been overstated even from relative crude transmitters. And now seemingly the situation is not so bad that the odd 13th harmonic cannot be tolerated in the interests of political correctness.
We certainly have no-go areas in Birmingham where many laws are just not enforced including parking law, theft, gun law, drug law ... Radio comes pretty low down the list of offences to target in the no-go areas of Gordon Brown's Britain. But don't run an unlicensed rig in rural Britain because the full force of the law will come down upon you.

In a nut shell, if you are an ethnic 'minority', the world is your oyster in this country. Meanwhile this Government continues to declare war on the indiginous population raping our purses and pockets to pay for it all. You can sense the anger as people are rebelling and repulsed by the daily news which depicts ethnics rebelling against British Law and society. Its no wonder todays youth have no identity and feel like they have to defend themselves. If you are English, you are a third class citizen.
If I was to set up English FM, target English for employment, start an English Police Association or any thing else aimed at English only, I'd be in a court room for 2 minutes before the shackles were slammed on me and carted away to an overcrowded prison to be converted to Islam.
I was amazed and disgusted by the responce of the Scottish poilce when launching their new non-emergency number this week. Trouble is, we all seem to be in a 'conditioned' state, a state whereby you speak out, you end up in the dock.
When is this country going to wake up? Knife & Gun crime is out of control, there is no way this Government can tackle it, it's much too late as far as I'm concerned.
Not far from where I live we have a huge Gypsy community which just doesn't want to abide by any laws, the police reaction is to ignore them and let them be as they don't want to cause a problem. A friend of mine is a care taker for a Community Disability Centre and they recently had special bicycles delivered. The Gypsy's stole the bikes and had the nerve to ride them around the centre's grounds before riding them home. The police told my friend that they don't want to interfere as they'd have a riot on their hands! It seems to day, if the Police can't deal with it, it's ignored.
I find it hard to believe that everytime I go in to our local town centre (Orpington) We have teenagers blatently smoking pot / cannabis or whatever outside the college building which is right outside the police station and the police do absolutely NOTHING! Is it becauz day r mostly blak?
Since the Police became the Police service, it's become an absolute joke and respect for the police is dimminishing rapidly. Some might say I have racist overtones in my sentiments, if having no respect for people that don't respect our laws and society makes me a racist, then so be it!
Again, I can see the raised eyebrows and people cowering as they read this message, probably too sh*t scared to respond in case of offending. This is the reason why this country is in such a mess. As long as the Celebs are on the Telly and sh*t loads of reality TV whisks people away to La La Land, this is going to get much worse.
As for illegal transmitters, if you are white, you stand no chance, they are scared that you might have an opportunity to say something that upsets the ethnics or against the establishment. Meanwhile the ethnics are allowed to arrange drug, gun and sex deals over the airwaves without being touched for fear of racist outcries.
What a f*cked up country this is!

There is much truth in what you say, however, I would not be as inclined as you are to generalise.
There are many ethinic minorities who collectively cause no difficulties and who contribute as much to the system as they take out. Let's face it, you don't feel scared to death when you meet a young Seikh in a subway.
The real difficulty starts when different grouping in society are afforded a different legal status to others.

I agree with a lot of what Da Guff says, but did find the generalised comments a little disturbing. I agree with you Sterling the difficulty does lie with different groups being afforded different legal status.
I did enter one of my Guff moments as I now call them in the office the other day. I was wondering if I organised a Straight Pride March that anyone could join in and celebrate would I be arrested for inciting prejudices. My problem with most UK Governments is they introduce loads of tough and over the top laws which are mostly used by over zealous officials that use these laws on trivial matters against mainly law abiding citizens, but do not use them against the most violent people in our society.
Sorry way off subject I know, as for the station it came in very well to Hornchurch this morning, wife did not complain when it was on in the car, so it seems to have passed the non anorak test, content and presentation and musical choice suit my ear perfectly. Currently listening online in the office in London, the day as never gone so quick,

I think we know about which section of ethnics I am referring to. Yes, there are the odd communities that want to blend in to our society, unfortunately that's not many though. The majority of the ethnics are akin to the 'bird feeder' anaolgy:
I hung out my bird feeder and took great joy at the variety of birds that came to feed. They flocked around my garden and took residence in the nearby trees knowing that they'd get their feed everyday. Soon, my garden was full of many varieties of birds. It wasn't long before they began to fight over the free food, each looking out for themselves. Then there was the shit, my garden was full of bird shit and they wrecked the garden in their frustrations. I removed the bird feeder and the birds eventually left knowing there was no more free food. My garden returned to the tranquil garden it once was.
I agree with your sentiments Mr Sterling, but there is no getting away from the fact there are too many here freeloading. I also appreciate the fact that it's more of the second and third generations that are breaking away from British society.
I'm focusing on the ones that do come here with nothing claiming asylum, then wanting this country to cower to all their needs. These are the minority that are being nurtured by our very own Government. I am not ignorant knowing the fact there are many ethnic communites that do contribute their bit and live 'normal' lives, but this is far and few between those hell bent on remodelling this country to suit their religious / cultural needs.
Hallo everyone. The receipt of R.S.R. at Gouda, the Netherlands, was good between 11:00 AM and 11:20 AM but poor around 2 PM. Last year the receipt on the first day was véry véry good and all days thereafter very good. Has R.S.R. the power of de 1278 kHz-transmitter decreased between 11:20 AM and 2:00 PM? Before 11:00 AM and after 11:20 AM till about 1:50 PM I could not receive R.S.R. because the very strong 1296 kHz-transmitter of the BBC was on air. If that BBC-transmitter is ON air, I can NOT receive R.S.R. at all! All times are BST. I use the same radio as I did last year. Greetings of Nico from Gouda, the Netherlands.
I'm not one of these people who likes to start rumours, I'm more one of those people who hears two rumours and adds them together, rather like adding two and two and getting five. So here goes.
On one of the threads on possibly another board stated that they heard Mike Read say they would be moving to a transmitter that covers the whole of the country and would be on 24 hours a day on MW. I along with a few others could not work out how this could be achieved until I read the story below on Media Networks blog

I know they tested on 1008khz when Ray first proposed the project and I remember they said they would have to adjust the set-up so that the transmitters were targeted to the UK. They could now do that if the Christian station closes, depends on how deep those backers pockets are.
Still don't think I would listen though, if they had Red Sands format I might be tempted,

.. that Planet Productions (broadcasting as Radio Caroline) and Project Atlanta (broadcasting as Radio Atlanta) merged their operations. It was a Thursday that year and the following day, Friday 3rd July, the MV Fredericia started off on her journey to her eventual mooring in Ramsey Bay, Isle of Man, starting a glorious period of offshore radio for those of us ooop north!
By this time 44 years ago, the ship had passed the Isle of Wight with Tom Lodge broadcasting theTop 40 chart in the afternoon – it was anorak quality audibility up here in Manchester but exciting nonetheless.
I'm wondering how many folks will be at the Isle of Man's commemoration weekend of Radio Caroline in September this year? I need to get my finger out and book travel and accommodation.
