Per, de tip die ik vanmiddag plaatste kwam na een telefoontje van een kennis. Ik kan dat dus niet bevestigen. Het schip staat boordevol rommel, materiaal en rotzooi en lijkt me nog niet klaar voor onmiddellijke afvaart op woensdag.
Wat ik hierna plaats heb ik met mijn eigen ogen gezien, toen ik vannacht na een avondje uit nog even langs het schip ging.Wat ik hier schrijf heeft niets te maken met ratio, maar alles met sentiment.
En wat ik zag vannacht ging mij recht naar het hart. De zendmasten van de Norderney liggen momenteel op de kade/parking van het Kempisch Dok. Wat erger is : ze zijn allebei doormidden gezaagd ter hoogte van de 12 meter! De voorste mast was inderdaad in de top afgebroken. De achterste zendmast ( elke zendmast bestaat uit drie tegen elkaar aangebrachte planken/balken die een 24 meter hoge holle constructie vormen) staat half open, alsof ie met alle geweld tegen de grond is gekwakt en open is gebarsten.
Op het schip gestrekt over voorplecht, feederkast midscheeps en de brug, liggen twee nagelnieuwe (ik denk metalen) masten, compleet met gelaste aanhechtingspunten voor de tuikabels. Ik kan me vergissen, maar het lijkt erop dat het laatste stukje Radio Veronica definitief van het schip werd gehaald.
De historische dragers van 14 jaar popgeschiedenis, liggen als groot vuil op straat tussen de vrachtwagens, in vier stukken gezaagd, te wachten op een lot dat ze niet verdiend hebben. This is not done! Ik hoop dat ik me vergis, maar ik vrees het ergste.
De feederkast midscheeps werd aangepakt met de slijpschijf. Aan iedere zijde ervan werden enorme gaten geslepen. Je kan er volledig doorheen kijken.
De eigenaars van de Norderney doen met hun schip wat ze willen, het is immers hun eigendom, maar de manier waarop men met dit stukje erfgoed omspringt doet mij denken aan een kreet uit de laatste dagen, toen in 1974...
Ik word niet goed! Fake zendmasten ? De Veronica heeft een beter lot verdiend dan deze ontluisterende aanblik.

For instance, Pirate Radio Skeus may last three hours. It is possible to call up the on-demand programme and dial-up any elasped time without pause.
So this is very different to downing loaing t and then moving a slider backwards and forwards.

I noticed you can do this with the "listen again" facility of the (Liverpool) City Talk website. It appears to be a stream of a file rather than a download but you can scroll along to any point in the duration of the programme and start the stream from there.
I don't know how it is done though as all of the streaming experiments I have done have been encoding and streaming what is effectively a live source (even if it is in the form of a recording that is playing in some form of media player). If I do stumble across anything about it I will post it here.

For any of you folks who doubt that TALK is one of the major ways forward for broadcast radio I draw your attention to the fact that Rush Limbaugh has reportedly just signed a new long-term contract to produce his talk radio show and deliver it to hundreds of stations and millions of listeners across the USA and the world. He's going to get paid an obscene amount of money for doing it too (not that money buys you happiness of course!).
I've been having a debate, well sort of debate, on the Red Sands threat at Digital Spy http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=761057 . It's a place I don't often frequent but have the urge to visit now and then. Is Digital Spy full of 'Has Beens' with chips on both sholders or what? The poor old guys who put in all the time and effort putting together the Red Sands project are now getting an 'E'-Kicking on the 'threads of death' over at Digital Spy.
I'm glad this site is much more down to earth and not so full of 'Has Beens' or 'Wanna Be's' with attitude.
I say good luck to the Fort Guys and look forward to trying to tune in this week, even if it doesn't turn out to be my cuppa tea, good luck to them for trying!!!!

I frequent DS but only post in certain threads. I usually steer clear of things about Caroline, Big L, 279 LW, stuff like that, as they are usually full of dick heads who just moan about nothing. That Willywobble guy I think was the one that said Big L was closing at the end of April :-)

Yes, I agree, I've just left that thread to fizzle out. Seems like WillyWobble has upset a few people on there and is a wind up merchant. I'll leave him be. I've searched on some of those threads you mention and some read on like a volume of Brittanica Encyclopedias.
There seems alot of either Anti Anoraks or Anti Anorak, Anoraks about on that there forum.
BTW, How long has this Jiglu thing become a 'Hood'? (Jigluhood)I feel like I should be tooled up or something.

Its a pity more don't try, I'm fed up listening to the same crap on FM or the BoomberClot FM Pirates. I'm not a R2, Magic, Heart or Gold person, I like rock and even soul music, but not the same safe tunes on a tight rotation, so that rules out most of the FM / DAB terrestrial stations. Internet however is a whole new ball game an thank gaud for it! Also its great to hear the likes of WNKR & Enigma here down south. We too are trying to get Old Fart off the ground and have encountered some technical problems, hopefully these things will get sorted out by some guys who know what they are doing (if my friggin email is working - cue Dave)
