That isn't as daft as I thought it might be. If we accept that Radio 2 is aimed at Radio 1's audience of 15–20 years ago, then that is a real starter as I suspect many of the younger R2 listeners would have grown up on a diet of dance music in the late 80's/early 90's.

Nominations for greatest dance record, anyone? Mine would be the first record I ever bought way back in 1962 and still fills the dancefloors at parties - Little Eva's "The Locomotion".  Incidentally the second record I bought was also in that vein, Chris Montez' "Let's dance"!
 
Still dancing after all these years...
