Anyway, welcome back. Which ISP did you go to and why (if you don't
mind sharing) ?

Thanks Christopher, A bit of a long story so here goes, For some time now i have been reading how good these Internet Radio thingies are and it may be the future of radio, So i decided if i want one i do need a Wireless Router,

As i had been with my current ISP (Virgin) for over a year now i figured i could now switch to one that gives you a free Router, So i cancelled it and asked for a MAC code, This was provided in two days which i thought was pretty good,

As i have been a Sky subscriber for Donkeys years now (Ever since Analogue) and they are advertising a free 2 meg service and a free Router to subscribers this was my first port of call,

Imagine my surprise when i tried to sign up to be told there is a £75 activation fee!!!!! I couldn't find that in their small print! I tried to argue that i had been a subscriber for years but they wouldn't shift on this, Only to say that if i had one of the pay Broadband packages this would be reduced to £50, So i told them no thanks or words to that effect!!

Then i had a quick look around on the net for some other offers and settled for the BT Total Broadband, This gave you up to 8 meg at half price £7.50 a month for three months then £15 a month plus a free Home Hub, So i ordered that,

All went well to begin with, BT said their service would be activated at midnight on the 16th and the Hub etc would be delivered the same day, Some time Thursday Evening Virgin switched me off, No surprise there

I waited in all day Fri the 16th but nothing turned up, Friday evening i rung BT and they said deliveries are from the Home Delivery network and gave me a number to ring, So i did and they said the driver couldn't find my address,

So i asked if they work on a Saturday? They said yes so i left them a contact number for the driver to ring if he had any problems finding us,

Waited in all day again Saturday but once again nothing, Not even a phone call!!

Monday morning comes round so i phone the delivery people again but cant get through, So i rang BT again, They apologised and said they will order me a new Hub which should be with me within 3 days,

About a hour later a delivery driver turns up with my original Hub, He knew what had happened and apologised for the delay but said this was his normal round but he had been off sick for a few days and in that case they put a relief driver on and as these are normally East European they dont know their way round and as they can hardly speak English there is no way they are going to phone you up for directions,

So i am up and running again and guess what the second Hub was delivered yesterday???
