It seems the Classic Gold presenters will be the main losers –
including Tony Blackburn who has no place in the new schedule.

Last Saturday on BBC London he said his happiest time on the station was when he was doing the Mon-Fri mid-morning show. He wished it could happen again.

From a Toronto newspaper regarding the dispute with Wal-Mart (Asda) about supplying the new book.

"It's to do with the fact that they owe us money and haven't settled their bills," Fry told British Broadcasting Corp. radio. "

Never heard it quoted as that before !

That was him at his peak, I tell yer. It was a brilliant and fun listen. The music was just right and the interaction with the public (especially the laydies) was laugh out loud funny.

People remember him from the pirate ships, or Radio 1, but he was definitely at his best during the BBC Radio London era. It was real summertime radio.

Was he dropping a big hint??

Personally I think Blackburn is wasted on Classic Gold, and he dosn't need a bimbo sidekick, he's much better when he's flying solo.
