What is true is that neither Ray nor Peter pay for their radio stations,
passing that pleasure on to others. Thusly, I put it to you that they
are both the same.

Yes but, No but, shut up, but yes but, Ray is not da boss. The financiers and Vezey are. Peter Moore, not to be confused with his brother Sir Patrick, is da boss, sort of. Ray is no more in control than say, Garry Williams. I'm not sure of the pleasure dimension, however.

This is not the case. Pirate BBC Essex will broadcast once again from
the Lightship LV 18 moored in Harwich Harbour. >

I wonder if the ship is in a fit condition. It hasn't been used for ages, 2004, I think. The man in charge of the LV18 trust was/is Tony O' Neill, so suppose it'll be down to him to make the ship ready. it's currently moored on a buoy up river from Harwich, towards Manningtree on the Stour, past where the Communicator was moored in 1985/86.

Every time I tune in to Big L these days I hear David Hamilton and Mike
Read slagging off Gordon Brown or Tony Blair or the Government in
general.

Chances are, that the boring pair of gits are Tories. Mind you, so are Tony and Gordon!

You are probably right. In fact wasn't Mike Read in the running as the Tory candidate for Mayor of London? Or was that just a PR stunt or April Fool joke?

Hello,

txeng1 [...] wondered whether the LV18 was fit to broadcast Pirate BBC Essex this summer.  A team from BBC Essex visited the ship a week last Monday and found that it was in good enough condition for the proposed broadcast, so it is going ahead from August 10 to August 14.

Right wing bias on Big L?

I love it!

It seems that  Charlie Wolf is a bit of a neocon and Randall Le Rose isn't far behind.

What a change from the usual liberalism in radio.

I'm also amused by Mike Read's latest song:
