Perhaps the bedroom has tartan wallpaper?
We should be testing on 846 Khz today, Sunday.
Same setup as 1476 just changed frequency.
Reports would be appreciated to usual AD,
...
Thanks,
dave.
In the last year this website was for Radio Neptun International in Latvia but since January this year for Radio North Isles.

Hi Dave .. Heard tests on 846 KHz yesterday afternoon from approx 14 – 15.15 hrs. Quite strong on car radio in Richmond Park and through the built-up area after Kew Bridge, but lost in the noise once upto Park Royal on the North Circular. Mod sounded very thin, however, too much treble and no real bandwidth. Just for the record, heard Jethro Tull and Bob Lynd .. Elusive Butterfly .. twice !!

Hi Alf, Sounds like the signals getting out OK, the mod was all right when it was on the bench but unfortunately I have no control on what Steve does on site, so not sure what's going on in that respect! I can't hear it myself not living anywhere near London, all I do these days is supply the equipment and do shows, bummer really. Plus I think Steve has been getting some conflicting advice from various people and probably isn't helping! Anyway it's on air now so we'll see how it goes.

Richard, it probably wasn't us as unbeknown to me Steve has been messing about with the antenna. It should be on now or very soon.

Richard, it wasn't us as unbeknown to me Steve has been messing about with the antenna to get a better match. What you heard was probably radio North from Ireland!
It should be on now or very soon.

Yes it on and off now, I guess Steve is still trying to get the antenna sorted out.

Hallo everyone. Who knows if the former radioship of Laser Hot Hits Radio the m.v. Communicator is already been scrapped? Or lies this ship still in a little harbour in the Orkney Islands? Greetings of Nico from Gouda, the Netherlands.

Hi Nico welcome back to AN, Sorry i have no idea on the present state of the Communicator, The last i heard the Harbour master up there had bought it and it was quietly rusting away in the same place.

Personally i cant see it happening.Richard
Do you know, Richard, I am not so sure. It happens that we were tied up in Leith last weekend and they a spending £zillions on redeveloping the "auld dump" into a waterfront. As you may know they already have the RY "Britannia" experience, which is bolted on to a brand new shopping mall. Large brownfield areas have been cleared and luxury apartments are being built apace, along with restaurants, hotels etc. If they could park the Ross up next to the Britannia it would be an ideal spot for tourists/visitors and a wonderful place for our offshore wireless heritage to be preserved, albeit someway from the Essex coast.
So, whilst one has to be sceptical, it would be an excellent idea.
