Eh? 0730, Gymnastics? On the radio? Blimey.

Which I suppose tells us that AM is only being retained for the small boat fishermen (some of which apparently have an interest in Gymnastics).

I wonder if the "Gymnastics" is actually a sort Of Mr Motivator/Green Goddess type of program (shows how long it is since I watched breakfast TV...is that rat still on??).

Just been having a Sunday afternoon scoot around and catch-up on what's what, and again I notice that the fish-wives and nodding dogs are very quiet instead of making their second-coming-esque pronouncements.

No words coming out about the current situation with IOMIB and 279 from the platform, er, ship, out at sea.

So, checking the IOMIB website, I see it's still on target for "early 2007". Didn't this used to say "first quarter" of 2007, or was that something inside one of the now removed Press Releases on the site?

Well, early 2007, should mean it'll be on by June, so anytime in the next four or five months then? This project always seems to be only four or five months away.

Now, according to posts in another place (the lovely Digital Spy), Rodney Collins is no longer dealing with public relations. According to one of the posters, he has said that whilst he's still involved, people should now go directly to Paul Rusling for information, instead of him.

This is confusing. I mean, yes, it appears that Collins is indeed still a Director of IOMIB plc, but he's referring people to Paul Rusling who no longer is.

Yep. Strange but true. Paul Rusling has signed an 9N form and sent it to the Isle of Man FSC saying he resigned IOMIB plc on 2nd January. (They received it on 8th January). This resignation (as opposed to his last resignation) actually includes his signature.

So, why aren't the fish-wives and nodding dogs out there trying to spin this one with stories of posting errors?

On 8th January 2007 the Isle of Man Government's Financial Supervision Commission received an 9N form duly completed to advise them that one of the IOMIB directors had now resigned.

Paul Rusling (who had previously been re-appointed on 12th September 2006 after originally resigning on 9th June 2006) resigned IOMIB plc (again) as a director on 2nd January 2007.

The company remains without a Company Secretary at the beginning of January 2007.

A friend of mine has sent me this message. I don't know how "kosher" it is, whether it has "legs" and other such phrases, but I pass it on in good faith!

... the ongoing 279 Khz debate from the Isle of Man has been solved with offshore music radio buying the frequency to begin soon as well as still broadcasting online.

I was on the 'bean run'(Rotterdam to Erith) for several

months so may have met into you whilst on the mooring buoys at
Greenhithe-do you remember Winnie in the 'White Hart' pub?

Its possible we ran into each other but it depends what year we are talking about,

I worked for Everards from 1962- 67 and finely moved away from Greenhithe in 1970 when i got married for the first time,

The White Hart pub!! Yes i remember it very well but it was so long ago the names of the bar staff escape me, I remember it had a very low ceiling and it could be interesting playing darts, Also i remember part of a episode of Z Cars was filmed in Greenhithe and they used the exterior of the pub in one scene although they changed the name,

There are so many other stories i could tell about growing up and living close to the Thames in Greenhithe as others could about the area they grew up in but i wont as it is so off topic and may be boring to other people.

Well, all things are possible. However, the Offshore Music Radio website says:

Wanna buy a radio station?
If so, Offshore Music Radio's up for sale by postal tender.
Please contact us if you are interested
E-mail ...
<end quote>

So, unless this is a way of attracting investment to a bigger picture, it actually looks more like the operators of OMR are trying to dump off a 'going concern', rather than expand it to broadcast via the Isle of Man.

Surely OMR is just a front for an anoraky goods sales service run as a mini-home business making a bit of pin money, rather than turning any serious profit? Might be wrong, but I can't see them funding 279!

Christopher,

You never fail to amaze me with your typical "red top" comments!

I would just like to add that i have often told people that the Cutty Sark was anchored at Greenhithe prior to going to Greenwich but not many believed me,

Have a look at this!!

Funny you should mention that. I was only anoraking t'other day at how brilliant the orchestrated tabloid hype of Big Brother had been for the wonderful Endemol, and wishing some of my TV stuff had that international power. Sigh.

But, back on topic, you sooth-sayers do seem awfully quiet about the 279 project. You still believe it has legs?

"He who Laughs Last, Laughs Longest"

You've noticed me laughing then have you? Don't worry too much. I wasn't laughing too loudly, it was just a giggle. I've been a tad frustrated. All along I've been waiting for the programmes to start so's I could then really get to town on something I know about, programming for people not anoraks. Instead we've had all this bla bla about antenna systems that I've no idea about!

I am envious of one thing though: You have contacts who are shareholders and they must have told you loads about what's happening with their IOMIB plc (that they own bits of), and I'm sure they've got a good explanation for the resignation of Rodney Collins on 8th December (although the FSC's not been told yet), and the resignation of Paul Rusling on 2nd January.

Assuming that Doctor Kabbary is still a director of IOMIB plc (as he claims), does this mean he is now left alone in charge of steering this Caroline 279 ship without Rodders and Paulie?

Ah, I know your answer already – it'll be an "I know something you don't know" style riddle, won't it. Sigh.

Christopher,

I will as always handle myself with "dignity" and I will stick with my first comment "You Never Fail to Amaze me" *

So you think you know me so well?

Is this a crossword clue? I was never any good at crosswords. Or maybe it's just a good old-fashioned non-sequitur. I like those I do. I'm sure staying on topic would have been futile anyway.
